Dormir bem emagrece, ajuda na concentração e melhora a saúde!

Se você tem o costume de emendar um dia no outro, ficar acordada até tarde assistindo à TV e levantar cedo no outro dia pra ir pra escola, preste atenção! Uma pesquisa – desenvolvida pela Universidade de Stanford, EUA – revela: quem dorme menos que o necessário tem menos vigor físico, envelhece mais rápido, desenvolve tendência à obesidade e a infecções.
Bem, como não queremos nada disso, é bom saber que, em geral, um adolescente deve dormir no mínimo 8 horas por dia. Se você tem economizado horas de sono, é bom rever os seus horários.
E tem mais! A pesquisa também divulgou que uma pessoa que não dorme há mais de 19 horas comete mais erros (concentração, falta de atenção e reflexo) do que alguém que bebeu 0,8 g de álcool – quantidade equivalente a três doses de uísque.
E como é durante o sono que as experiências vividas ao longo do dia são memorizadas, pessoas que dormem mal podem apresentar perda da memória de fatos recentes.
Além disso, cerca de 70% do hormônio do crescimento GH é secretado durante o sono. A falta dele pode causar enfraquecimento dos ossos, perda de massa muscular (tudo aquilo que você demorou horas pra ganhar na academia!), acúmulo de gordura na região abdominal (aquela barriguinha) e alterações no sistema imunológico.
Então vamos às dicas para dormir melhor:
• Evite cafeína, nicotina e álcool nas últimas horas do dia;
• Não faça refeições exageradas à noite;
• Procure dormir no mesmo horário todos os dias;
• Evite fazer exercícios físicos à noite, porém não deixar de fazê-los durante o dia;
• Mantenha o quarto arejado e numa temperatura agradável;
• Tome banho quente antes de dormir;
• Tente não dormir durante o dia. Se for muito necessário, durma por no máximo uma hora, antes das três da tarde;
• Se estiver deitada por mais de trinta minutos sem conseguir pegar no sono, saia da cama e vá ler um livro num outro cômodo da casa. Depois volte para cama e tente dormir novamente;
• Não assista à TV no quarto de dormir.
